Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience working on issues such as social development, sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and/or social policy
- Significant experience in research and writing
- First university degree (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English in writing and speaking
- Track record in process management and results orientation such as evidence of working with structured project management systems and procedures
Skills
- Sound analysis and judgment skills: ability to listen well, integrating evidence, and strong logical analysis, while seeing perspectives from different sides and the ability to write and communicate ideas concisely and with clarity.
- Teamwork skills: experience contributing to collaborative teams to work productively, effectively, and inclusively towards shared goals.
- Learning orientation: humility and intellectual curiosity, seeking to work with evidence, demonstrated openness to new ideas and a diversity of perspectives
- Proficiency with core business tools: strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel and comfortable using collaborative digital tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Doodle, Miro etc.
- Flexibility: willingness to be working across time zones, flexible working hours, working remotely when needed and periodically undertaking international travel.
We are looking for a full-time Program Associate to be involved in the design and execution of Impact Hub Ankara’s local and international programs.
Program Associate
As Program Associate you will support and report to the Director of Programs, who leads the program strategy and execution at Impact Hub Ankara. You will support program coordination working closely with the project coordinator and other colleagues on the program team. Your responsibilities will include a mix of supporting the Director’s programmatic responsibilities, project management, and administrative support.
You will need to demonstrate analytical and organizational ability, a high level of personal initiative, and a kind, collaborative, and supportive approach, including the ability to work well in a distributed, deep-thinking, and fast-paced environment. This role will provide a valuable opportunity to gain insight and experience on the social innovation ecosystem in Turkey and a pathway to take on added responsibilities over time.

The Role and the Responsibilities
As part of the Impact Hub Ankara team, your core responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Directly support and work with the Director in programmatic responsibilities through program design, project management, and research. Preparing write-ups, reports, and other related materials of our work
- Conduct research and landscape analyses to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the field and stay informed on relevant updates
- Support the Director and the programs team to liaise with broader Impact Hub colleagues to coordinate work across project/program portfolios
- Help conceive, coordinate and support events, convenings, and gatherings that enable partners and peers in the field to learn together
- Support the Director and the program team as needed, as well as participating in new projects
Position and Application Details
This position is full-time. The selected candidate will have a one-year contract initially with an option of extension.
