Your companion on your impact journey

Social Clinic

What is it?

The Social Clinic operates with the logic of a help desk for social enterprises. It brings enterprises together with solutions that will make them healthier. It aims to increase business success by bringing together early and growth stage startups with experts in the field. The Social Clinic supports entrepreneurs to develop impact models, business models and governance models, and provides suggestions and interventions for the harmonisation and integration of these models. Within its capacity, it is open to all social enterprises with needs in accordance with the types of support provided.

Idea

Idea

“I am currently focused on identifying an important problem that requires a solution. I have not yet developed a solution and am still researching the scope of the problem and the needs of the people it affects. I am eager to connect with someone who can guide me through my next steps or provide feedback on my idea.”

Our program is currently in the process of preparing a self-study module tailored for entrepreneurs in the idea stage. Once you progress beyond the idea stage, our team will be enthusiastic to offer you more personalized assistance, particularly when you’ve developed at least one prototype of your idea, established contact with your beneficiaries or customers, and have a clearer understanding of your next steps.

Starting-point

“I’m in the early stages of developing my social enterprise. I’ve created a prototype of my idea and tested its results within my immediate circle. I’m now confident that my concept is effective and has the potential to make a significant social or environmental impact. My motivation is to scale this tested idea to a larger extent. To ensure I’m on the right path and to turn this concept into reality, I’m looking for expert guidance to enhance my skills and financial capacity.”

Growth

Growth

“As a social enterprise in the growth stage, we have a meaningful business model that allows us to demonstrate the real impact we’re making. Now, we’re aiming to transition to a phase where we can create even more impact and continue to expand. However, with growth come unique challenges. At the moment, we are working on improving our operations, developing our team, and ensuring consistent product quality. Alongside these efforts, we are actively seeking specialized expertise to more effectively align our business and impact models. As we continue to grow, our need to measure and demonstrate our impact has also increased, and we are in search of guidance in this regard.”

Scaling

Scaling

“We’ve now proven that our business idea is successful, and we’re ready to extend its impact to different domains. For us, scaling means renewing our business model to reach various beneficiaries in different markets, rather than just growth for growth’s sake. We’re on a mission to increase our impact not only operationally but by reaching entirely new regions and beneficiary profiles. This stage comes with unique challenges, and we’re eager to explore innovative strategies and approaches to accomplish this.”

Our program is currently in the process of preparing a self-study module specifically designed for entrepreneurs in the scaling stage. You’ll soon be able to access this module from here.

How can you apply?

For now, the Social Clinic can only support social enterprises at the start-up and growth stages. Therefore, before applying to the Social Clinic, you should confirm that your enterprise is a “social enterprise” and has left the idea stage behind.

We accept your enterprise as a social enterprise if you have established (or intend to establish) your enterprise to solve a social and environmental problem, you are (or will be) carrying out commercial activities for your enterprise to generate income, you are (or intend to invest) your profits in your social/environmental cause, and your business, impact and management models are (or you want to harmonise them) compatible with each other.

If you are not sure where your social enterprise is at, you can use the descriptions below to identify where your enterprise is in its journey.
