One Million Cups meetings, developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2012, have been bringing together impact makers every Wednesday for years in many different countries. We – as Otsimo and Impact Hub Ankara – wanted to organise a community meeting in Ankara where entrepreneurs, creators and impact makers come together on the last Wednesday of every month and share their ideas or problems they experience during the production phase over a cup of coffee. Because we know that it is very rare for people in Ankara to break their shells and exchange ideas about what they produce, but we feel the need for it the most. And this need is best met by coming together with people working in these fields and sharing experiences.
